It starts off with goodbyes. So say goodbye to your mom, your dad, your best friend, and your dog. Don’t cry– you’ll be back in a few weeks (or months)!
Next, you fly half way across the world. When you step off the plane and see a group of policeman, you hope that they’re not there for you and your team.
You’ve just flown for what seems like an eternity, but you’re not there yet! So get some zzz’s… wherever you can.
And if you can’t sleep, you can always eat a nice, home-cooked meal. Or not. You’re learning to eat on the go, and you’re getting pretty good at it!
Oh, and did we mention that some heavy lifting is part of this job description?
Still there? Good, because we’ve arrived! Where exactly? Well, it’s a beautiful place, but it’s not exactly home…
While you’re here, you might have to get a little dirty.
And you might find yourself doing things you haven’t done since you were five…
You might will find yourself looking rather goofy.
And chances are, you’ll be so tired that there will be times when even a suitcase will look like a nice enough bed.
…Yeah, even a suitcase.
Oh, and did we mention that you might find yourself talking to inanimate objects as well? Happens to the best of us.
But you want to know why it’s worth it? We’ll let the photos do the talking…
And just like that, it’s time to leave.
…We won’t lie. The goodbyes aren’t easy.
…But sharing Christ’s love is worth it.

“Then I heard the voice of the Lord, saying:
‘Whom shall I send,
And who will go for Us?’
Then I said, ‘Here am I! Send me.'”
